Our Story

A corner roastery in the Central Eastside

Foundry started with a secondhand roaster, a corner storefront on SE Division Street, and a stubborn belief that great coffee should taste like the place it was made.

We roast in small batches most mornings — never more than the day can drink. Beans come from growers we know by name, roasted light enough to let the origin speak. Everything is dialed in by hand, cup by cup, right here in the shop.

There's no autopilot on our bar. Grind, dose, and pour are checked all day as the beans settle and the room warms — because the same recipe drinks differently at 7am and 4pm.

Pull up a stool at the counter, watch the pour-over bloom, and stay a while. Mornings here move slow on purpose.
